Xherdan Shaqiri
Xherdan Shaqiri Inter Milan striker admits his team is no longer at the level of Bayern Munich, which he calls the world's best team. But the Nerazzurri was the one who gave him something more.
Inter arguably never been one level with Bayern when the two faced each other in the final of the Champions League 2009-2010 season. At that time Beneamata successfully emerged victorious with a score of 2-0. In the same season they won two other titles or treble overall winner.
But then the situation changed. While Bayern continued to rise and managed to win the Champions League title in 2012-2013, Inter instead gradually decreases and the season finished at number nine Serie A. Last season they got into the top five, but re-shuffling of the season where up to 28 weeks still scattered on the stairs to the 10th.
Shaqiri, who moved from Bayern in January, admitted that Inter no longer semengilap earlier. But apart from that, the team owned by Erick Thohir gave a great opportunity to play unlike in Die Roten. The 23-year-old went on to assert his determination to survive.
"The best place where I ever played was Bayern Munich. They are the best team in the world," said Shaqiri about his old team to SRF Radio.
