Marc Marquez
Defending champion Marc Marquez optimistic staring first MotoGP series in 2015 which will take place at the end of this month. Repsol Honda rider was confident the opening race will be run very tight.
The first race of the season will be held at the Losail Circuit on March 29. The rider must immediately shifted its focus after the final pre-season test session held at the same venue had to be canceled due to rain.
In the test, which lasted for two days, Marquez successfully recorded satisfactory results despite Ducati appear to dominate. Overall, the young Spaniard scored the second fastest time of 1 minute 55.091 seconds adrift 0.184 seconds behind the Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso.
"Unfortunately the test was canceled because of the rain but I'm happy with how we headed to the first race. In time we will see how we are doing in different circuits but we can make a positive conclusion about our progress in the winter," said Marquez in Crash.
"I can not wait to start the season bari here in Qatar which will last one and a half weeks away. It would be interesting because these tests show that the race will be tight."
"As can be seen from the time in two days here, the difference will be very small," said Marquez.
Marquez has a good record at Losail. In two appearances, he has never finished outside the podium and in 2014 emerged as the winner.
